Pueblo West is located in Pueblo County
LOCATION : The area of the
District, with annexations, contains about 26,000 acres
or 48 square miles of contiguous lands extending west by
northwest from points approximately 1.5 miles west of
the limits of the City of Pueblo. The District is
located immediately north of the Pueblo Dam and
Reservoir, which is a part of the Fryingpan-Arkansas
Water Project and is currently accepting approximately
1500 visitors a day on the Arkansas River. The dam was
constructed in 1975 by the United States Bureau of
Reclamation. Pueblo West is located along the southern
edge of the State's major growth corridor. It is
situated eight miles west of Pueblo and 38 miles from
Canon City on Highway 50. Pueblo West is bisected by
east-west U.S. Highway 50 and its eastern borders is
touched by north-south Interstate Highway 25, which is
the major route to Colorado Springs, Denver and
Albuquerque, New Mexico
RECREATION : In addition to the
availability of recreation land and facilities around
the Pueblo Dam and Reservoir, which was complete in
1975, Pueblo West itself has a wide variety of outdoor
activities. Approximately, 4600 acres have been reserved
for neighborhood parks, playgrounds and open greenbelt
areas. Based upon current land utilization studies, the
nature of natural terrain of Pueblo West will
accommodate about 65 miles of equestrian trails. 21 acre
Lovell Park on Hahns Peak and Hanover Drive includes a
25 meter long, 13 meter wide heated swimming pool, 2
lighted ball fields, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe
pits, a paved basketball court, a sand volleyball court,
and equipped playground for children, two lighted tennis
courts, picnic pavilion with stage, barbeque facilities
and public restrooms.
ADDITIONAL ROOMS: You can build your own
style of home. The 10 acres are consider agriculture
and you can also have horses or other animals on the
property. You can also plant your own garden.
DIRECTION: Travel North or South on 1-25
in Pueblo Colorado take exit 101 and travel West towards
Canyon City about 10 miles. Turn left on East McCulloch
Blvd (South). Travel South for about 1000 meters and
turn Left onto South Conquistador Ave. Travel south 400
meters and trun Left onto West Domingo Drive. The
property is located on the left side of West Domingo Dr.

Pueblo West Metropolitan District was created on
September 16, 1969. It is located approximately 7 miles
due west of the City of Pueblo. It is a planned
community with covenants, which are enforced by the
Committee of Architecture. The District's operation is
governed by a Board of Directors.
